Death's Dream Kingdom Free Kindle Give Away Contest!

I have been trapped in a disaster area since last Wednesday when the first tornado sirens went off.  Since that time,  I have been stuck in the dark and  lost away from computers and modern conveniences.   I got my power back last night and that is cause to celebrate and when my computer came back on I realized that my novel, Death's Dream Kingdom has been released.  This gives me double cause to celebrate!

To celebrate Death's Dream Kingdom,  I am going to give away a kindle.  Death's Dream Kingdom  has been released first on kindle and won't be out in other formats until November, so it is time for me to celebrate the kindle by giving them away.  If you are like me and always wanted a kindle but don't want to pay for one, now is your chance to get one.  The rules to this contest are simple.

1. Tweet, facebook, blog, and tell your friends about this contest.
2. Comment below telling how many times and where you posted, talked about, and linked to the contest
ex. I tweeted 4 times, told 2 friends, and posted the contest on facebook
3. The person who does the most to spread the word about this contest will win a free kindle.
4. In the event of a tie, I will give a way 2 kindles
5. In the event of a three way or greater tie, I will draw names.
6. Winners will be announced on May 23, 2011.

So spread the word and you will get a free kindle this month!  Help me celebrate having a new book out and having the amazing power of electricity!  If you are interested in buying Death's Dream Kingdom and helping me celebrate, you can click on the link below.  Also,  I give extra points to people who buy the book :).

OMG, Jessica, I don't know if Cyclops Clyde (monster that haunts my computer) or something else was at play to delete the long comment I tried to leave here about an hour ago. I had to take a break before coming back and trying again!

First, let me say Big Congratulations to you on the release of your new book. How exciting. I read the review on Amazon, then tried to click "Yes" when it asked if the review was helpful, but Cyclops Clyde struck again. When I typed in my password for my Amazon account, it said there was an error. That's what happened when I tried to preview my other comment and tried to log into my Google account. It said there was an error. When I came back to my comment - poof - it was gone. So I'm going to leave my comment in pieces, just so I don't spend all that time again and lose it!

I am a total idiot today. I just spent a long time writing another comment, and in previewing it, I tried to delete a word, and it deleted the whole comment. I give up! Cyclops Clyde wins for today.

Basically I wanted to tell you thanks so much for your comment about my book trailer on wub2write's site. I'm basically computer illiterate (but I blame everything on Cyclops Clyde) and creating the book trailers was a week of hell for me, so it was quite a feat.

And so is trying to leave comments on your blog. Maybe your site is haunted too, not just my computer!

Yay, that part got through!

I don't have a blog yet, but I have a website. In my other comment that got deleted, I was asking if you have a book trailer for your book (which will be my very first purchase on my new KIndle - it arrived the day before yesterday!) I used the movie trailer software for iMovie (for Macs) to create that first trailers. wub2write will post the second trailer soon, which I did on Powerpoint for the still photos, then added them to the other iMovie program which allows voice overs and sound effects. So if you don't have a book trailer yet, I think you'll be able to create a dynamite trailer because your blog is so well done. Looks awesome.

Yay, another comment posted successfully. Anyways, best of luck to you with your book sales. I'm a big scaredy cat when it comes to horror stories, but your book sounds intriguing, so I'm going to give it a shot.
I decided to skip trying to preview my comments, so there are some typos. I signed up to follow you by email. Looking forward to following your writing journey.

Congratulations on the book release! :)
And for getting your power back, and for being OK after the terrible storms & tornadoes.

Thanks Lynn... I don't really have a book trailer yet. I wish I had your skills. I will look for the movie trailer software. I probably need to do something, but it won't be as good as yours.

Yes, Jessica, check out the movie software when you get a chance. I'm basically computer illiterate and was able to figure it out. I bought the video clips from iStock, I believe. Four video clips. For the other trailer, I bought still photos. I'm now going to build my own library with photos and videoclips so I don't have to buy as many for future trailers and projects. It gets way too expensive. Each video clip cost about $30.

I bought your book and read the first chapter! Good hook. I want to find out what happens, but I had to do my online class. I'm tired of being computer illiterate!

Giving away a kindle for a contest to help promote your book is a super idea. I love reading on the Kindle, mainly because I can make the font bigger and it's easy on the eyes, and the Kindle is lighter than holding a book. So whoever the winner is, what a lucky soul!
